Terms and Conditions

CityRide Melbourne operates a taxi booking and dispatch network in greater Melbourne. We connect riders with accredited taxi drivers and vehicle operators. Drivers are independent operators and not employees of CityRide.

You may request a taxi by phone, on our website or in our app. A booking is a request — confirmation is sent once a driver accepts. We will use reasonable endeavours to dispatch a vehicle within the indicated timeframe but cannot guarantee exact arrival times due to traffic, weather and demand.

Fares are calculated using the in-vehicle taxi meter in line with rates set by Victorian regulators, plus any tolls, airport fees or booking fees disclosed before you accept the trip. Payment may be made by approved card, mobile wallet or cash where the driver accepts it.

You may cancel a booking at any time before the driver arrives. A cancellation or no-show fee may apply if a driver has been dispatched and you cancel after they arrive at your pickup point or fail to appear within a reasonable wait time.

• Provide accurate pickup and drop-off details.
• Treat drivers, vehicles and other passengers with respect.
• Wear seatbelts and follow lawful directions of the driver.
• Pay any costs to clean the vehicle if you cause damage or excessive soiling.

Items left in a vehicle remain your property and risk. Report lost property to 0447 008 587 as soon as possible. We will help reunite you with the item where we can, but we are not liable for loss of items.

To the extent permitted by law, CityRide's liability for any claim arising from your use of our services is limited to re-supplying the booking or refunding the booking fee. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

The CityRide name, logos, app and website content are owned by CityRide Melbourne and may not be used without our written permission.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page; continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
